Educators applauded Linden Lab’s announcement Tuesday that the firm would add voice capability for avatars in Second Life. The issue has been discussed enthusiastically for several months on the SL Educators mailing list, as teachers suggested the best ways to implement voice in the virtual classroom.
Mit Skype und ein paar Tricks ging das auch jetzt schon, allerdings nicht als Plauderei, sondern als Stream. Voicechat ist eine nette Sache, ich habe nur Angst wegen der Bandbreite. Die verträgt schon jetzt kaum Extras, wenn es um Audio oder gar Video geht. Mal sehen, ob Second Life dabei auch stabil bleibt.
